All Abigail Edwards’ products are made in the UK where possible and are environmentally responsible. The wallpapers and non-woven substrates are sourced from sustainably managed forests and are printed at one of the few remaining, traditional, wallpaper printers in England, using non toxic water based inks.

The collection has recently expanded to include fabric by the metre, rugs, tiles and accessories as well as the award-winning wallpapers that have featured in numerous magazines and grace the walls of homes and commercial spaces around the world.

Abigail began her career studying fine art at Wimbledon School of Art in London and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. After a brief stint assisting in galleries in New York, a passion for interiors took over and she returned to London to style and write about interiors for a diverse range of editorial and commercial clients such as: Ikea, Harrods, The White Company, Living etc, Sunday Times, House & Garden and The Guardian amongst many others, as well as being Deputy Decorating Editor at Country Homes & Interiors magazine for many years.

Abigail has recently relocated to rural Gloucestershire, the place that initially inspired many of her designs.

Commissions and collaborations welcomed.

Values

“In this time of maximum connection and communication, life can be overwhelming and it can seem like pattern will add to the effect of noise and overload on our lives. But when chosen carefully pattern can be as functional as it is decorative.

My aim is for my designs to contribute to an environment that will enhance wellbeing, and enable relaxation. I look to the soothing colours of nature, or to transportative worlds, to take us away from the strife of modern life.

A quiet unobtrusive aesthetic does not mean blandness but a gentle strength, supporting but not overshadowing other visual identities such as architecture, space and light.

Harmonious shapes, proportions and colour palettes can bring solace to a restless mind. Calm, quiet patterns can trigger thoughts and inspiration, allowing your mind to wander without visually imposing noise that may intrude on thought processes or mood.”

Adapted from Abigail’s book ‘Quiet Pattern- Gentle Design for Interiors’ published in 2018 by Clearview Books. An exploration of delicate pattern designs and the designer’s that create them, as well as how to use pattern to create a sanctuary within your home.
