Jane Foster’s home for IKEA

Last Autumn I had the privilege of spending a couple of days with designer Jane Foster whilst styling her families brightly coloured home in Devon for IKEA. Like myself, Jane hand draws all of her designs and doesn't really use a computer as part of her design process, we bonded over the use of Tipp-Ex for when design mistakes get serious! Jane is a serious collector of vintage fabrics, the rare samples go in frames and her favourite pieces are used in her gorgeous designs as well as for cushions etc in her home. Jane has created a print called ‘fish supper’ for IKEA and she has recently written a book on retro fabrics. I apologise for the quality of my scans, to see the full story with far crisper images check out the spring issue of IKEA Live. Photographs are by the lovely Kristin Perers. (Kristin also has a beautiful blog, click here to have a look)
