Instructions for hanging non-woven wallpaper

Walls should be clean, dry and even.
Remove any old wallpaper and loose paint
Roughen painted surfaces with sandpaper
Scrape powdery, flaky surfaces. Absorbent surfaces should be prepared with an oil based primer ensuring it dries completely.
New plaster should be allowed to dry out completely
Metallic effects can be damaged if high levels of alkaline are already present in the walls. Preparing the walls with an alkaline resistant primer should prevent any damage of this type.
For best results, we recommend that the walls are cross lined using a good quality lining paper. Sizing lining paper will aid adhesion. Lining should be allowed to dry completely before hanging the wallcovering.
Dark wallcoverings may need their edges coloured with a crayon of a similar tone to avoid white edges showing.
This is a ‘paste the wall’ product. The decorator should paste the wall and not the back of the wallcovering.
A premium quality tub adhesive or an equivalent good quality, solvent free, fungicide protected, light grade adhesive should be used.
DO NOT USE SELF MIX ADHESIVE. ALL PURPOSE AND HEAVY DUTY PASTES ARE NOT SUITABLE
Paste should be evenly applied to the wall to hang 1 length at a time, to an area slightly wider than the width of the roll.
Butt joins together and use a decorator’s brush to smooth down the wallcovering, working from the centre to the edges to express air bubbles.
Avoid squeezing paste out of joins and ensure paste does not get onto the brush or roller.
No paste should be allowed to come into contact with the surface and hands should be kept clean and dry whilst handling the wallcovering.
Paste will damage the surface. The company cannot accept responsibility for marks or damage caused by the paste.
Should any paste have been allowed to come into contact with the surface, it should be lightly sponged whilst still moist, using a clean damp sponge.
Trim top and bottom with a sharp knife or scissors.
Ensure wall covering is firmly adhered as, in the event of fire, loose wallcoverings can contribute to the hazard.

Lead time for delivery of wallpaper is 5 working days if it is in stock. If it is out of stock it can take up to 10 weeks but this is unusual. If a product is out of stock we will contact you to give an estimated delivery date.

We recommend customers order samples before purchasing goods. Images online are as accurate as possible to match the product but can differ to those shown.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the environment is suitable for the wallcovering, or a fabric is suitable for purpose. Our fabrics have natural and manufacturing characteristics such as slubs and knots. Please note that cut lengths of fabric cannot be returned or exchanged, nor can any bespoke products.
All goods are dispatched suitably packaged for transit purposes only. If your order arrives damaged it must be signed for as such and reported to us within 48 hours at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will require you to return the order with all packaging and labels.
We do not take responsibility for over or under ordering of wallpaper, fabric or any other products. Any additional orders as a result of under ordering will be treated as a separate order and cannot be added on to previous orders.
You have the right to return your unopened wallpaper in perfect condition within 7 days receipt of your order otherwise refunds will not be issued. Shipping is at the customer’s expense. Full payment less delivery costs and any duty charged will be refunded to you.
If the goods are faulty or we have made a mistake with your order, postage costs will be refunded. We cannot take responsibility for any goods lost in transit, so please use a secure service when returning any unwanted goods.
